Behind Every Bite, There's a Story

When people ask me why I work so much, the answer is simple.
I work two jobs because I believe in this dream.
Every dollar I earn outside of Keto Keto Kitchen helps me keep this business alive, improve our recipes, invest in better ingredients, and continue building something I truly believe can make a difference.
Every single day, I think about our ingredients.
Could they be cleaner?
Could they be healthier?
Could they be more nourishing?
I spend hours researching ingredients, reading scientific papers, comparing suppliers, and looking for better alternatives. I care deeply about what goes into every product we make.
My goal has never been to simply make desserts.
My goal is to create food that supports health.
Food without unnecessary additives.
Food without ingredients that quietly harm the body.
Food made from real, wholesome ingredients whenever possible.
Because the truth is... life already gives our bodies enough to fight.
Stress.
Lack of sleep.
Environmental toxins.
Microplastics.
Air pollution.
Smoking.
Processed foods.
Chronic illness.
Inflammation.
Our bodies work incredibly hard every single day.
The last thing I want is for dessert to become another burden.
I want it to become something you can enjoy with peace of mind.
Something that fits your health journey instead of pulling you away from it.
Running a small business, however, is not only about baking.
It is also about carrying the emotional weight that comes with serving people.
Today reminded me of that.
A customer placed an order.
Because of an unusually busy day and heavy traffic, our delivery was delayed by about 50 minutes.
As soon as we realized the delay, we tried to communicate and keep them informed.
To make things right, I refunded the entire delivery fee.
That wasn't all.
The original courier had already taken the order, so I paid the courier.
Then I arranged to personally deliver the order myself.
In the end, our business paid for delivery three different times, simply because I wanted our customer to feel cared for.
I believed that was the right thing to do.
But something else happened that stayed with me.
For nearly an hour, our customer service team received continuous calls and messages.
My team was spoken to in a way that no one deserves.
And that hurt me far more than the money.
I can accept losing money.
I can accept difficult days.
I can accept working three shifts to keep this dream alive.
What is difficult to accept is seeing kind peopleāpeople who are simply trying to helpābeing treated without respect.
Our team answered every message politely.
They stayed calm.
They remained professional.
They continued trying to help.
And yet, they were met with frustration and disrespect.
As the owner, that's the part that stays with me when the day is over.
Sometimes people see a small business and only see the final product.
They don't see the person researching ingredients until midnight.
They don't see someone finishing one job, starting another, then coming home to bake.
They don't see the hours spent answering messages.
They don't see the financial risks.
They don't see the deliveries, the packaging, the quality control, or the constant worry about whether everything will arrive perfectly.
Small businesses are built with countless invisible hours.
And behind every order is a real person who genuinely cares.
Despite days like today...
I still believe this is worth it.
Because then I receive a message from someone who tells me they were finally able to enjoy dessert while staying on their keto journey.
Or a family tells me they could celebrate together without worrying about sugar.
Or someone with diabetes says they finally found something they can enjoy with confidence.
Those moments become my light.
They remind me why I keep going.
They remind me why I work multiple jobs.
They remind me why I continue searching for better ingredients instead of cheaper ones.
They remind me why Keto Keto Kitchen exists.
Not simply to sell desserts.
But to help people live healthier, happier livesāone bite at a time.
If there's one thing I hope we can all remember, it's this:
Kindness costs nothing.
Behind every small business is a person doing their very best.
Behind every customer service message is a human being.
Behind every delayed delivery is usually someone trying as hard as they can to make things right.
A little patience.
A little understanding.
A little respect.
Those things mean more than most people realize.
To everyone who supports small businesses with kindness, encouragement, and understanding...
Thank you.
You don't just help businesses survive.
You give people like me the strength to wake up tomorrow and keep building something we believe can make the world a little healthier.
And for that, I'll always be grateful. š
